August 31, 2009 – On September 30 and October 1, at a time when some American states are making the move from textbooks to electronic books and paper, UQAM will host the first trade show in Canada exploring this transition in the publishing sector, the press, advertising, cell-phones and the media, along with academics and professionals. The event, which will take place in the Marie-Gerin-Lajoie Hall and its lobby in the Judith-Jasmin (J-M400) Pavilion, 405 Saint Catherine Street East, is organized by CPS@ Partners, a company whose founder, Eric Le Ray, is an associate researcher at UQAM's Laboratoire de communautique appliquée.
The trade show will comprise booths, panel discussions and individual lectures. Organizations and companies are invited to become partners of the event. A number of partners have already signed up for the trade show where they will be displaying their products or services and meeting with visitors. Participants will have access to the revolution in digitization, interactive media, and electronic books and paper.
